Unacceptable Behaviour

In recent years there has been an increase in the number of incidents involving violence and abuse to staff and visitors on NHS premises.

CH Medical is committed to putting patients at the heart of service delivery.  However, there are occasions when patients (or their representatives) can act in a way we consider unacceptable.  The practice has a duty of care to protect and support its staff from incidents of unacceptable behaviour and expects its staff to be treated in a respectful manner. Whilst it is understood that people sometimes get frustrated, we will not tolerate behaviour which is deemed unacceptable, threatening, abusive or unreasonably persistent.

The purpose of this policy is to address instances of unacceptable behaviour which may cause harm or the fear of harm to staff or any person within the Practice.
